Breast Milk Without The Breast

This is an idea whose time has come. Breast milk
without the breast. Or, has it? Is there no value in
the nipple and sucking?
Babble babbles about breast-free breast feeding, and extolls the virtues of breast pumping to feed infants. One of the examples given was from a mother who pumped because she thought her breasts were "always reserved for sexual activity."
It must be true. Dolly Parton doesn't have children so what other purpose would be served by those twin mammary behemoths?
Many of today's new moms know of the benefits of breast feeding but don't want the annoyance or inconvenience to mar the experience of parenthood. So, they pump milk from the breast and bottle feed the baby.
Everyone is happy, right? Baby gets fed. Mommy gets emptied on a schedule. Daddy and mommy get to enjoy some of what made baby in the first place.
Some doctors claim that typical bottle feeding with formula leads to over feeding which leads to very fat babies which may lead to fat children and fat adults. Hey, it has to start somewhere.
The benefits to pumping and bottle feeding breast milk are numerous.
Pumping moms are less likely to become pregnant while pumping, breast milk is considered better than formula, no one is embarrassed or insulted when mommy whips out a bottle to feed baby vs. whipping out a breast for public viewing, and daddy can do what baby may want but doesn't know the difference anyway.
That brings up another point. What's the purpose of the breast? Sex or milk? Visual accouterment or condiment for offspring?
