A Secret Place

Do you have a secret place where you can go, relax,
think, meditate, and not be bothered (or
found) by anyone?
Such secret places are more difficult to find these days. Some men have a local bar that's secluded, not too crowded, where they can sit and unwind.
I don't know where women go to relax, think, meditate, and not be bothered.
Sometimes, when I'm hidden away in a secret place, I think that women, in general, don't relax, think, meditate, and prefer to bother, perhaps as a defense against the offense of being bothered.
When I was young boy I had a secret place in a little used room connected to the living room. We had a small sofa tucked into the corner just out of view of anyone in the living room. I could desk out on the sofa and just think.
Finding a secret place to relax and think is to be cherished. With cell phones, instant messaging, email, and too many ways to communicate, there are fewer ways to communicate with ourselves. That's too bad.
Sometimes I think we don't really know who we are because we don't have much time (or a secret place) to think about it.
I'm not into yoga or meditation. I don't visit Starbucks or bars, so a secret place usually is a temporary respite from the days activities, and the tug and pull of responsibility of being an adult.
Just closing my eyes and dreaming for a few moments doesn't seem to work. First, it just looks weird in a social setting. Second, I become more conscious of people watching me with my eyes closed, so there's not much dreaming going on.
I want a secret place where I can go to at any time, sit down, relax, and let some of the days thoughts and concerns slowly slide away, instead of bunching up like the water pressure on a dam.
Do you have a secret place?
I didn't think so.
