Funny Things In The News

News is news but some news these days is just plain funnier than regular news. Am I the only one who can see funny news?

Right at the top is Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards who told college students to elect someone "trustworthy." Of course, he refused to call rival Hillary Clinton untrustworthy.

Prior to becoming a U.S. Senator, Edwards made a huge fortune as a trial lawyer. What does he know about trustworthy that we do not?

I'm certain you've read or heard about the mortgage crisis. In a nutshell, there are too many bad loans. Freddie Mac, the #2 buyer of loans lost $2-billion dollars. The stock is in the tank. They need more capital. Would you give money to the management of a company that just squandered $2-billion?

Presidential candidate Barack Obama is running a campaign based on "change." It seems Obama is pretty much like everyone else. He's admitted that he did drugs and drank too much when he was younger. He also says he was lazy and didn't apply himself. His biggest interests in school? Sports and girls.

Now he wants to be President. How, exactly, does he represent the candidate of change?

Tom Wisniowski did something most of us never dream of doing. He shot a bear. Not just any bear. He shot a black bear. Not just any black bear. He shot an albino black bear.

Not ever having hunted bear, I presume that a black bear is just that. Black. But an albino black bear would be white, right? So, how do you really know it's a black bear.

You can't make up this stuff.
