Global Warming

There is no longer any doubt that the changes in
world weather are caused by global warming. What's my
scientific proof? My car.
My car and I have a love-hate relationship. I love it when my car is clean and shiny, as it is right after I wash it. I hate it when it rains on my newly washed car.
I can count on one hand the number of times I've washed my car and it did not rain on it within 48 hours. By the way, a car is not considered fully washed unless it can dry for at least 24 hours without being rained upon.
It didn't use to be that way. When I was learning to drive my parent's car back in my teenage years, a car didn't need to be washed at all, regardless of weather conditions.
True, dad always said a clean car ran better, but that was parent talk with no true facts to back it up.
When girls came along so did the urge to impress them with a nice, clean, well-watered car. That's when the weather began to change.
Clouds would form within minutes of running the car through the car wash and chase me down the street with merely a light sprinkle to keep me moving slightly faster than the speed limit, only to drench my car once I came upon a stop sign.
That was just another example of Nature's way of letting pimply-faced teenagers know who was really boss.
Global warming as a political issue is all the rage these days. Indeed, it seems as if each year is a little warmer, but it's not like there's any real cold weather to compare with the warm weather where we live.
These days I can wash my car and leave it inside the building for days. That must be awfully frustrating to clouds who have a quote of cars to rain upon.
