Nice Guys Finish Last

Nice guys finish last. Or, so they say. I know from personal experience that it just isn't true. Sometimes they finish next to last, and seldom much higher.

On the contrary, of all the multi-millionaires of known, worked for, or helped to become millionaires, most of them were and remain evil bastards, despite the ability to give away large sums of money for tax purposes.

All of them? Yes. All. Of. Them.

Some were better and more palatable than others, less evil so to speak. In a world where it seems that everyone is out to get their fair share, those multi-millionaires so foolish to make me their hired hands were apparently out to get their fair share, and any additional shares that were available, regardless of the means.

Some of the evil bastards were impressive for their apparent invisible evilness, and their ability to make money with new ventures, time and time again. Some just have a knack.

Others were one-trick ponies who sold their soul to the Devil, climbed high above everyone else to claim the riches of their deeds, then just sat there until their souls expired, accomplishing little else but living off their riches. Living high, of course, but not really alive.

What about nice guys? Do they really finish last? No, but it's a close race and competition for the bottom ranking is not as intense as you might suspect. Multi-millionaires are not the only ones out to get their fair share and the share of others, even unfairly.

Those poor souls who will never meet up with riches continue to try, despite the odds. The poor souls who are truly courageous, caring, considerate, thoughtful, enjoyable, and worthy human beings are a tiny minority of the vast minority, which, in itself is a minority of the majority.

You know who they are but you don't know too many. You can always find them near the bottom rankings of whatever race they enter which also includes evil bastards.

That's just the way it is.
